This shop is where handcrafted bliss lives!

When not being a loving mother and wife and teaching Kundalini Yoga or assisting women and their partners as their labor doula I love to craft, so was born Many Moons Mercantile!

Caring for the environment and shopping local is also big on my list and when deciding what I would sell I knew whatever it would be it would have to be ALL NATURAL!

Can soap be all natural and still provide a good lather and a satisfying experience for the senses? You bet it can! Here at Many Moons Mercantile I use a detergent free base in my soaps which means no chemicals for you or your little ones and nothing going down the drain that would harm Mama Earth. And the no chemical motto goes way beyond the base, my soaps and bath products are scented using only essential oils and herbs and spices (often organic) and colored using only natural additives common to the kitchen like cinnamon and paprika.

Did you know that paraffin wax is toxic? Paraffin is an inexpensive sludge waste product of the petroleum industry that has been bleached then texturized with acrolyn, a known carcinogenic product. Once burned it emits 11 toxins documented by the American Lung Association, 2 of which are known carcinogens–toluene and benzene which are inhaled and linger in the areas they are burned in. Soot from paraffin candles contains many of the same toxins found in diesel fuel. Here at Many Moons Mercantile I make only 100% soy candles and scent them using only essential oils. Soy wax is made from soybeans and vegetables, both renewable resources. Soy wax burns much cleaner and purer as it is all natural, non-toxic, and non-hazardous. It is biodegradable leading to reduced landfills and can be washed away with warm water and soap.

When it comes to our crochet toys and wares it’s ALL NATURAL as well! My toys are made using only 100% wool yarn and roving for the filling and my crochet wares are also wool or cotton or a natural blend.

Plastic jewelry, no way! Only semi precious or precious stones, glass and metal are used in the making of my jewelry.

I strive to buy my materials as locally as I can and always keep an eye out to tread as lightly as I can on the Earth, after all, we only have one planet and we need to take care of her!

At my Etsy store I strive to make my footprint on the planet as small as possible.
